1. Notes on Installing CircuitMaker 2000

When you insert the CircuitMaker 2000 CD, the installation Wizard
will start automatically after a brief pause (if auto start is
not disabled).

If it does not, select Run from the Start menu. In the Run dialog
box, enter the following:

D:\SetupCM2000.exe where D: is your CD ROM drive.

The installation wizard will appear. Follow the instructions to
install the software.

You will be prompted to enter the Access Code for CircuitMaker
2000 during the installation.

2. TraxMaker Footprint Library Guide

This CD contains the Footprint Library Guide in Adobe Acrobat
format. The file is in the root directory of the CD, named
TraxMaker Libraries.pdf and requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader
version 4 or above to read the file.

3. Updates and Enhancements in CircuitMaker 2000 Service Pack 1

- The startup sequence has been made smoother, flashing of windows
and controls during startup has been eliminated.

- When performing an AC or Noise analysis the scale now defaults
to Log if the Sweep is set to decade.

- The Save As Text feature (Wave menu) has been enhanced to save
all waveforms that are currently displayed on the active graph.

- Schematic files can now be saved in the CircuitMaker 6 format.

- When a device is selected in the Search results in the Panel,
and you then click on the Browse Tab, the selected device is
automatically located and displayed. This allows you to see
where that device is in the browse tree.

- Schematics exported as a WMF are now scaled correctly and will
open and display in Paint Shop Pro as expected. Note that when
you are using this feature on Windows 95/98, the Metafile save
location must be to a path which only includes folder names
  with eight or less characters.

- The Export Waveform Metafile command now correctly prompts to
overwrite an existing file of the same name.

- When you select Digital Basics | Gates | 3in And in the Device
Browser, the correct device is now listed.

- The Search feature is no longer case sensitive.

- A new Check Wire Connections feature has been added to the
Simulation menu. This feature detects and highlights any wire
that is not connected at both ends.

- The Check Pin Connection feature now correctly deselects
currently selected items before selecting any device which has
  unconnected pins.

- The default text field font is now correctly saved and restored
when CircuitMaker is closed and restarted.

- You can now simulate a read-only schematic. If the schematic is
located in a read-only location (such as on the product CD),
the netlist is written to the Temp directory instead of the
  schematic's directory.

- Move/Paste operations are now constrained to the grid if the snap
  grid is enabled.

- Data Sequencer and Pulser default tick increment settings are now
  correctly set at 10.

- Temporary files, such as circuit setup files, are now deleted
correctly if a simulation is aborted.

- A Show Minor Log Grid Lines option has been added to the Wave |
Preferences dialog. This allows the log x scale to be displayed
as full lines or tick marks on the minor grid locations.

- The Click-and-drag to zoom feature has been enhanced to support
starting the zoom window outside the grid area.

- The right-click menu in the Waveform viewer has been enhanced to
support removing or changing the color of a signal.

- Signals in the Operating Point table are now displayed in the
  order they were probed.

- The Waveform viewer now supports displaying single point graphs.

- Log 2 has been added to the Scaling Options dialog as an option
for analyses that have complex data, such as AC Analysis.

- Avg and RMS columns are no longer displayed in the Operating
Point analysis results if there is no transient data available to
  calculate results for these columns.

- Device package specification for the generic diode symbol
referenced a DOIODE0.4 Package. This has been changed to
  DIODE0.4.

- After using Ctrl + F4 to close a file in CircuitMaker, it is now
  possible to open another file.
